Abstract:

The study aims to make geometric improvements to State Highway 16 Aluva town to Kothamangalam, situated in the district of Ernakulam in Kerala, India. The length of the project road is 34.340km. The paper deals with literature review and data collection, the identification of geometric deficiencies, possible realignments, geometric improvements to alignment, vertical profile and cross-sections and estimation of costs.
