Abstract:
This article is about the Catholic beliefs on the Rosary prayers. The Rosary prayers are not mere repetitions of recitation or formulation of the words, as often misinterpreted. The mystery of the Rosary begins with Jesus and circles back to Jesus. There are twenty mysteries in the Rosary prayers, which are categorized into four-mystery groups: the Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious mysteries. In this article, we limit our discussion to the biblical background review of the five joyful mysteries of the Rosary prayers.
